MORE THAN JUST A CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE
Studying at a Canadian high school is about much more than academics. It is an opportunity to improve your English, experience Canadian culture, make international friendships, develop independence, and become part of a local community.
Along with core academic subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Physical Education, students may have the opportunity to choose from a wide variety of elective courses based on their interests and the options available at their school.
Electives may include:
● Visual Arts and Photography
● Drama and Music
● Business and Entrepreneurship
● Computer Studies and Technology
● Culinary Arts
● Woodworking and Construction
● Fashion and Design
● Sports and Fitness
● Media and Communications
● Leadership and many others
This flexibility allows students to explore new interests and discover talents while continuing their academic development.
A PATHWAY TO YOUR FUTURE
Completing part or all of your high school education in Canada can also be an important step toward your future academic goals.
Students gain valuable experience studying in an English-speaking academic environment while developing the communication, critical-thinking, teamwork, and independence skills that can help prepare them for college and university studies in Canada and around the world.
For students who choose to complete their secondary education in Canada, the experience can provide valuable familiarity with the Canadian education system and the university and college application process.
LIVE LIKE A CANADIAN STUDENT
The experience continues beyond the classroom.
Students can participate in school clubs, sports teams, cultural activities, school events, field trips, and community activities, giving them the opportunity to experience everyday life as a Canadian teenager.
Depending on the program, students may live with a carefully selected Canadian host family, providing an additional opportunity to practice English, experience Canadian family life, and become immersed in the local culture.
A SAFE EXPERIENCE WITH PEACE OF MIND FOR PARENTS
We know that an international experience for a teenager is also a major decision for parents. That is why WeCanada Education provides local support throughout the program, helping students feel safe, welcomed, and supported from arrival to departure.
Depending on the program, services may include:
Airport Reception & Transfers • Homestay Coordination • Student Orientation • Local • Transportation Support • Activities & Excursions • Medical Insurance • Custodianship for Minors • Student Monitoring • 24/7 Emergency Support
While students enjoy their Canadian adventure, parents can have the reassurance of knowing that there is a local team based in Canada supporting them throughout their experience.
